DR. KATHERINE NORDAL'S
PERSONAL INTERESTS
Enjoys the rural South:
- After growing up in North Carolina and
Georgia and getting a Ph.D. from the University of
Mississippi, Dr. Nordal took an internship in rural
Mississippi, which convinced her to settle in.
- Lived in Washington, D.C., where she still
spends much time, and in Atlanta.
Loves old buildings:
- Belongs to the National Foundation for Historic
Preservation and is a Board Member of the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic
Preservation
- Has her office in a Victorian house (Circa 1870), which is listed
in the National Register of Historic Places


Relaxes with gardening and digging in the dirt:

Is involved in church activities:
- In Christ Episcopal Church, she is a Licensed
Lay Reader, Chalice Bearer, Lay Eucharistic
Minister, and does Pastoral Care Committee work
Has always cared about physical fitness:
- On tennis team in college
- Distance biking, such as the "Bike Across
Mississippi," a 180 mile trip from
Alabama to the Mississippi River

- Participated in the "Run Through History"
- Water sports, including jet skiing; Pilates exercises
- Is an enthusiastic golfer
